Hump Day Hunks- What Qualities Make a Hero? Part 1-

  In real life and in print men have to have certain qualities to make them a hero. Fighting spirit, charm, sex appeal? You might not know it, but the qualities that make a hero are actually the little things. For the first quality I'd like to share, it happens to be one of the most natural and important qualities of any type of character. That is a great sense of humor.

  A man who can make a mistake and laugh at himself, is a man who will keep a smile on your face even after all his looks and vanities are gone. A man with no sense of humor just ends up and old dude who might have been sexy once upon a time.

  When you are feeling down, a man with a sense of humor can make you laugh and chase your blues away. Money can't buy you happiness, neither can a fancy car that can rust and expensive clothes can wear out. But, unless he becomes a mean old man, he will always have a fabulous sense of humor to keep you on your toes.

  Anyone else think this is the best quality to have or do you disagree?

P.S. Don't forget to come back tomorrow to meet my special guest Raebeth McGee.

  1. I agree on the sense of humour. But that doesn't make a man a hero, not for a moment.

    1. True, but he wouldn't be much of a hero without one. He would end up being one of those too serious broody types you can only stand for so long. (;

  2. Hm. Good one. I would agree with Greta that humour is an admirable (and subjective) quality and make-up of an interesting character... and a hero can have that or not.
    What about those brooding byronic heros? They are so yummi and sad and the heroine can save him -- well, you know what I mean ;). E.g. I do think that Mr. Darcy is a hero for how he helped Liz's sister without ever wanting credit for it... but he doesn't have a funny bone in his body.
